According to Canalys'' latest data, in the third quarter of 2021, the global smartphone shipments reached 326 million units, an increase of 3% from the previous quarter. Samsung led the sales with 69.4 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 13%. Apple returned to second place with new product releases in the third quarter, with 49.2 million units shipped.
Xiaomi ranked third, down 6% year-on-year, shipping 44 million units, while vivo and OPPO (excluding OnePlus) ranked fourth and fifth with 34.2 million units and 33.1 million units, respectively.
